Meet Helen Boland, a remarkable individual whose journey has been as diverse as it is inspiring. Originally from South Africa, Helen spent two decades there, immersed in her passions for dogs and horses, often competing in three-day events. In 1994, she made the monumental decision to move to the UK, where her life took another adventurous turn. Joining the British Army in 1997, Helen served with honor for ten years in the Royal Logistics Core, fulfilling roles as both an army driver and a dog handler. Her time in the military was marked by dedication and sacrifice, though injuries sustained during operational tours eventually led to her departure. Undeterred, Helen found a new calling in the serene countryside of the North East of England, where she established 4 PAWS Unleashed, a dog walking business in 2014. With each step, Helen gained invaluable experience, learning the nuances of her craft firsthand. Dog walking, she'll tell you, is no walk in the park—it demands constant vigilance and adaptability. At 4 PAWS Unleashed, the commitment is unwavering: every dog under their care remains within sight, ensuring safety and companionship every step of the way.

Helen provides an excellent 5-star dog walking service and my dog loves going anywhere with her. Jenny (my dog) isn’t a fan of going in the car but as soon as Helen arrives she jumps right in and waits for the adventure to start. She posts pictures and videos on Instagram along with tracking of their adventures that day and to be honest I felt a little envious of their days out whilst I was stuck at work. She is a genuinely lovely lady who is aware of each dog's individual needs. She isn’t just a quick 30 minute walk around the block. She drives to woodlands, the moors, or the beach and gives the dog a really good stimulating walk. I highly recommend her and so does my dog.
